Question ? did you voice your opinion when shows like friends did not have any blacks on the show at all ? not one, not even a black person walking down the street in the background. I could name many, many shows who did not have african american representation. Why is it as soon as you have someone like Tyler Perry who employes balck people we as black people have to critisize and put down. We should be oh so happy that this black man who was not born into money, he worked very hard for it still thinks enough of his people to make sure that he hires and casts them first. I am 63 years old and I can remember when we had some great African-American shows on TV. The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, Good Times. just to name a few. I think TP has gotten a raw deal for his works. I love the movies, especially with Maddea, but I rarely watch his TV shows because I feel they are not a realistic portrayal of the Black population.

All of those "cancelled" shows were cancelled before Tyler came on the scene with his 2 sitcoms. Since he's visible, he gets the blame for instititutional racism...it ain't over.
