I'm back to share some very good news with you. As part of our commitment to
deliver a Community you will enjoy and provide features -- both existing and new
-- unique to Black Voices we are introducing a few new bells and whistles to
make your time on BV a little more enjoyable.
+ Embedded Video New!
In the current boards, members have asked repeatedly how to embed video. Now,
it's easier than ever when you click on the film strip icon located in your text
editor box. Simply select the type of video asset you're embedding or the
source, paste the URL, preview your video and select Insert.
+ Last Visited New!
We'll store your last five visited threads. This is a great way to return to
previously visited discussions without hunting around from forum to forum.
+ Email Notification Improved!
This feature existed previously but now when you receive a notification that
someone has responded to your thread you will go directly to the post. We hope
you will enjoy. To change your delivery email account visit Account Settings.
+ Member Stats New! This is probably one of my favorite features because we take such pride in
our membership status, posts, and so much more. Now, we reveal your join date,
post count and followers in your profile. Don't believe me? Visit your own
profile and take a look. Don't get discouraged if it's low or the date is
incorrect. We're working hard so that legacy members will see their true data in
the near future.
Where did all the posts go? In order for us to bring you these enhancements we had to perform a
one-time only wipe out. Yeah, it sucks but we had to do it, we're
confident we wont' have to do it again, and we think you'll like the
results.
How does follow work? Follow allows you to stay connected to your BV friends -- and vice versa. See
when friends in your follow list create a new topic or reply to an existing one.
